I’m beyond floored at this result. Holy schniekies is that an awesome fundraiser!!
I was absolutely bummed to miss the shenanigans, but am so very grateful for everyone who turned out and this money will absolutely make a difference in the lives of the families affected by this disease. Max has been resting up and regaining his strength after our little adventure, and he gets better each day and might be able to go back to school later this week!
On behalf of our family, and the entire broader GFPD family, thank you FCF, @Manhattan, and everyone else that helped out, played in the event, bought raffle tickets, or simply donated!!!

Today is Max’s 11th Birthday!! Happy birthday to this little dude:
Birthdays always bring a mix of emotions as I know far too many families whose child didn’t make it this long. And we have no idea how many birthdays we’ll get to celebrate with Max. But through it all, he brings pure joy and we are so thankful.
This year has been a lot, but Max is doing great. He rebuilt his strength over the summer and has had a great school year so far (knocks on wood for awhile….). And while we didn’t make it to Maxamania, we did get to your wonderful state later in the summer to enjoy the beautiful waters of Klinger Lake thanks to a friend.
Michigan during the summer is so good!
Thanks to everyone who has reached out and asked about Max. I know we have a ton of people in our corner and we are very blessed.
