Need a rules official over here: If my employer matches donations and I provide the receipts, do I get those raffle tickets?

I had that same thing at JPM but went and got them added #forthecause

anybody else maniacally checking the tee sheet tab? Seeing my quota points and some warmer weather has me ready to go.

*I don’t actually expect a tee sheet to be completed until much closer to play, just looking for any golf outlet I can find.

Going with: yes, that’s above board and a clean play

More money to the First Tee means everyone wins

Unfortunately I think we’ve hit a snag on a technicality. Because they’re classified as “tickets” on the First Tee page and not a donation, I got denied the match. whomp whomp

@BadBrad reminded me today is Jackie Robinson day! Hat tip to Mr. Jackie Robinson.

His OWGR was unavailable.

Maybe I missed it, but what time does this shindig start, and is it an all day event?

Trying to decide what to do about lodging - one night or two.

Good question! A start time will be determined when we get closer depending on the weather. If it’s 45 and sunny in the morning we will tee off around 9am. If we have frost then we will push to around 10am.

It will be an all day event if you’d like it to be. We are going to play 18 holes and hopefully get done by 1:30pm then around 2pm we will start the sweet sixteen horse race. Anyone who didn’t make the horse race can come watch or go out and play any hole or game they like until it gets dark or too cold

Sweet - I think I’m just gonna come up on Friday night then instead of getting up at zero dark thirty and driving 4 hours.

Four days left to get your merch order in! You do not want to roll up in March and see the swag laid out in tables and not have an ordered placed. That FOMO will make you 3 putt at least 9 times.

but then you’ll miss brekky sandies at mickey d’s with me @Nickygifts and @Jrembold

you’ll also have a chance to warm up instead of rolling into your first round of the year after a 4 hour car ride in 40 degree weather so ya know, choices

I’ll be holding court here drinking ice cold Busch Light Friday if you need me. Great place to end my “rain” as the Mudness champ.

Pizza looked good, all the other drinkers clearly knew each other.

We do Yanni’s in Manteno, usually around 8 the morning of. Nice little way to break up the drive and a tremendous start to the day.

While brekky and a 4 hour car ride with you fine gentlemen sounds delightful, my old ass will need some extra time to activate the glutes, among other things.

Not sure if y’all are staying the night or going Full Savage up-and-back same day, but I’m looking at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kankakee or the Hampton Inn and Suites in Bourbbonnais - I’ll book a double queen room if one of you needs a bed Saturday night - let me know.

Also it’s been brought to my attention (via the countdown clock on my desk) that today is in fact Jackie Robinson day, so celebrate accordingly.

Ahhhhhhhh- you see my wife’s birthday is on actual Jackie Robinson Day. I know this because we have historically gone to baseball games on her birthday and keeping score is bananas as everyone wears number 42
