NewClub did an event out at Elks last fall and they had a flag set up on a “lost” green somewhere on the front 9. Does anyone know where exactly this thing is/was?

It’s the fifth hole, par 3. It’s the original Langford volcano green that they stopped using at some point and built a new green which sucks. The old green site is still there, and I’ve seen a flag in it before, but it hasn’t traditionally been maintained.

What is the fire pit count? I have a Solo I can bring if needed.
I’ve completed my personal Florida tour swing and have thoroughly psyched myself out attempting to chip off tight Bermuda and loose sandy soil. Gonna be great.

I saw one estimate that we don’t get above freezing until 12.30p-ish - i am guessing this is worst case. do we just get drunk and make smores?

NWS dropped High from 44 to 39, game is not trending. Elks isn’t turning on the heat pipes crisscrossing the grounds under the turf for us?

The forecast could swing back 5-10 degrees warmer pretty easily.
I’m going to keep the option of a frost delay postponement open to give us an extra hour in bed vs the Elks clubhouse. Not calling that yet. I don’t think moving the shotgun back more than an hour (to 10) makes sense on the off chance the frost melts in the sun.
If we do get there (at 9 or 10) and there’s a delay, we will follow Midness rule number one (no complaining) and pivot Midness rule number two to “Everybody wang chung this morning.”
I’ll do pub trivia to pass the time.

This makes all the sense in the world. I went to a different bar 2 weeks ago and hated it!
I also have 5ish PowerPoint trivia’s set up from the early quarantine weeks of 2020. One is even entirely Chicago themed
