Lawn is looking #Dialed
What I’m working with in the backyard. Working on completely clearing out that back left corner but it’s been a pain in the ass with all the roots/bushes/ivy that are in there. Dropping some weed and crabgrass control tomorrow after it rains tonight to hopefully help out the grass.
When we bought the house last fall you couldn’t even see the side fencing due to how much ivy had over grown. We’ve got a strong foundation but just needs a lot of TLC. Good thing there’s literally nothing else I can do right now.

Any suggestions on to get rid of moss and wild violets?
I’ll be the first to admit I know next to nothing about lawn care other than it needs water and to be mowed, so apologies if this is a lawn care 101 question…
You’re not alone. And I have much of the same problem. Looking forward to the answers.
I cannot wait to cut the grass for the first time this year, just to get 90 minutes away from the kids. Spent a couple hours on the mower today, had to order new front tires. Hopefully mowing come Friday.
Also now thinking about getting rollers.
Dude, if when you get rollers, that lawn is gonna be siiiick.
I’ve found quinclorac to be the most effective post emergent. I had clover in a bad way 2 years ago. Knocked it out with quinclorac and it didn’t come back last year.
Any recommendations before I dive into a rabbit hole that leads to midnight?
what tractor/rider do you have?
I would have sex with your lawn
Her name is Tina, a Toro Timecutter Zero Turn.
Tina was abused by her previous owner, so she was a cheap solution when we moved into this house as my Cub Cadet Connie couldn’t handle the acres.
This is likely Tina’s retirement tour. She’s got some holes that have been bored out and won’t hold screws. The muffler wiggles loose all the time, so she’s a loud bitch as well.
Maybe wait on the rollers until I decide on my future love.
Five dolla holla. Kids go to bed at 8:15, so anytime after 8:45, leave the Lincoln in the mailbox.
And I agree with @jbors on this. Nary a weed to be found.
Might I suggest using Milorganite as your fertilizer this year? You might be able to get an even darker shade of green with the proper nitrogen content.
Bingo-da-bango.
Great thing about this stuff, since it’s organic you can’t burn your lawn if you over do it.
Done deal. Thanks!
I’ve read this comment 17 times now and I’m still giggling.
I put mine down this afternoon.

Haha!
I love it!! Allyn is such a dork but he’s the best. He cares so much and it shows.
