Ah boo. Is there really need for a 2nd short course at BWR?
In all honesty yes from what I understand. Their other one, The Baths, gets so much play they can’t keep up and it’s booked out every afternoon since you get free play on it if you go there on a package which is most common.
Maybe they changed their mind though idk, all just rumors as this point no one from BWR has given me a clear answer.
There also isn’t a clear answer on course #5 they keep trying to build on the south side of Sheboygan that keeps getting tied up in the courts. No architect or anything announced yet but the resort keeps setting record numbers for rounds played so it’s only gonna get bigger and more expensive…big sad
I mean having a King/Collins on property at all is a huge win I think. From an architectural standpoint, their almost maximalist style fits in super well with the man made/penal style of Dye and his work.
New 8i has arrived and is looking to avenge his fallen brother.
Hold on to this one
Avenge it’s fallen brother or join it’s fallen brother in the pond?
Hole 2 is a bit early for throwing clubs IMO
Let he who has never had a club slip out of his hand and go flying into a pond cast the first stone.
The moment I stepped on Sweetens my first thought was, “King/Collins could be the spiritual successor to Dye”. That would be dope.
Okay.
Now, have I on purpose thrown a club before? Sure, but I was a hot head in my youth and put way too much pressure on myself to compete. That hasn’t happened in a long time.
Just realized this might be coming off as dickish instead of playful considering you just lost that brand new iron and I’m sorry. If I were you, I’d probably be pissed if I were in your shoes and someone was making comments like I am.
Mea culpa.
Psshh, anyone can throw a club on the golf course. The real sickos throw clubs on the driving range.
raises hand
Can’t wait for someone here to fling a club into the pond on 2 and join the club. Don’t mind me inspecting everyone’s grips on the range.
Alright. I’m going to a Play-It-Again to buy a single club for next to nothing just to toss it in the pond.
Appreciated, but no apologies needed. I was legit angry for about 30 seconds after until my playing partner said “sorry dude, but that was fucking awesome.” It’s a great story to have on that course on that property.
Also, you’ll soon learn that apologizing to this group when talking shit is a sign of weakness and should be avoided. The better strategy is to keep going.
For anyone interested in a treasure hunt, on 2 from the green tee, walk approximately 197 yards straight down the middle the fairway (flex), turn 90 degrees lakeside, walk to the dead center of the pond (not a flex), dive, T150 8i PROFIT.
