Anyone a #Carrynostra and bring a small drone with them? I want to do both but not sure my single-pocket bag makes it do-able or not.

Only made the decision to go down the drone rabbithole today, so it’s early. Looking at the DJI Mini 4 Pro or the cheaper Mini 3 at the moment.

Sorry to double stack questions but… I’ve got nobody else to ask lol

When you shoot b&w or a sepia style photo… are you staking to time to make adjustments on the camera before the shot? Or shooting in full color and editing afterward?

Joining you in pretty much the same photography journey. Just ordered the mini 3 and dusting off the dslr.

Earlier in the process, but I would imagine it makes the most sense to take the shot in full color and edit it later. If nothing else, it gives you more options later on.

I took my Sony with a couple of lenses to Scotland in this bag (I’ve seen people use this for drones as well). On the course, I attached it with a carabiner to the top of my Jones carry bag. Admittedly, it was easier when I had a push cart, but it wasn’t too difficult to manage when carrying either.

If you shoot in RAW, I don’t see a reason to not shoot in “color” and edit afterwards. I use quotes because RAW is essentially capturing as much light information as possible by the sensor capabilities. The vast majority of consumer cameras in the marketplace are color sensors which means you will capture color light anyway. If you have a monochrome sensor camera, that’s a different story and serves a very specific purpose.

I’ve been in the market for a Leica monochrome for a long time but just haven’t been able to bite the bullet in the cost as I get great shots with my Sony edited in BW. But I know that the monochrome sensor would have a different rendering, it’s just limited in its use.

(If anyone is wanting to unload an m242 or m10 monochrome on the cheap to a fellow refuge member, I’m your huckleberry) :joy::wink:

Hi All. I’m looking for help sourcing golf adjacent photography. I recently renovated my office and I’m looking for three photo prints that reference golf but aren’t of golf holes/courses/aerials. I attached two photos for inspiration. unfortunately TGJ doesn’t sell the Tiger print anymore and Fried Egg only posts landscape photos. I need mine them to be in portrait.

Any suggestions on websites, photographers, photos would be greatly appreciated.

Please point me in the right direction if I’m in the wrong thread and Thanks in advance for the help.

Still don’t know anything, but this is from a photography magazine. Shout out to Libby and @waver82 for the free library access to a bunch of photography magazines.

It was in response to the previous question that was asked.

In the spirit of more golf photos this season. I am working on a good carry setup.

Using a PD Capture Clip to keep the camera handy. Also taking advantage of the nest gift to carry an extra lens with easy access. May not be the intent of @MerchCzar for the gift, but it feels like it is in the right spirit.

I’ve got a photo that I’d love to have edited so that I could get it printed. It’s removing a background object and making it seamless with the rest of the photo. Any help around these parts with such a thing? I’m not photoshop savvy whatsoever. Thanks!

Depends on the the object needed to be edited, and do you have rights to the photo? Did you take the photo?

I took the photo. It’s the foggy picture in this post. I’d like to house and the flagpole in the background removed

Just joined the refuge this week and glad I found this thread, photography is my biggest interest outside of golf. Work just sent me to SF so I snuck out to play some MacKenzie courses - Northwood and Pasatiempo. Northwood was more chill obviously so I brought the camera. Incredible foggy morning in the redwoods!

(was going to share a few but new users can only embed 1 photo apparently)

Very much a beginner when it comes to this kinda stuff, but took a shot. Does look a little unnatural where the house was, though.
