Golf and Photography

I was up there the same weekend I played Wentworth last fall. Would’ve loved to play it, but it dumped rain that day and the course was closed.

Doing some shameless cross-posting and self-promotion, so if you see this twice, mind your own business.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Drones. Would be just for fun, family stuff, off roading, hunting, maybe a little golf courses? Trying to decide between a DJI Mavic or Mini, or do you guys have a better idea. Like the price point on the mini a lot more. Having the “tracking” feature I feel like is a must.

May I present, the Mavic Mini 3 Pro
(My first drone - VERY user friendly and packed full of options to learn and develop)

I’m excited to find this thread! Been doing this and trying to improve my photos for a few years now! This is from a trip last fall to Valhalla with some buddies!

Also some proof that Cantlay indeed didn’t wear a hat in 2021

1/250. I fucking love shooting sand shots.

I’m finally breaking my camera out after long rest and dragging it to the last TDC event of the year.

I really want to work on my tee shot game, always have trouble speed matching; so much easier with cars because I can just have them run at a static speed and set my shutter to that but gotta get back into it.

I’m a little limited by the capabilities of my camera, but I set the drive mode to continuous and just do my best. Still chasing that super clear shot of the ball coming off the club face.

White balance adjustment. Also some digital cameras have this film “style” eg Leica and Fujifilm.

Photos didn’t turn out great, but here is the 13th at Crypress and 14th at MPCC on film

Mavic is their flagship drone and is really pricey and packed full of serious capability. But the mini will probably do everything you need it to do at a fraction of the price. The Mini 4 pro also has active tracking.

I’ve casually scrolled thru the rest of the thread and never saw the exact post but any recommendations for a good golf bag camera?

I’d like something better than an iPhone or point and shoot, but still compact enough to easily fit in a golf bag.

What has my eye right now is a Sony a6400 with something like 15-50mm lens.

But wiiiide open for suggestions.
