Golf and Photography

Now I’m getting confused again.

Just take the plunge, that’s the easiest way to figure out what you actually need lol

I took the plunge with the a6400 and would say it’s been perfect for me.
But I’m sure as I use it more, I’ll figure out what an upgrade could be.

I will take your hand me down

Oh you’ll be waiting awhile

I’ve been trying to decide which camera to buy for ten years. If nothing else I’m patient.

Were you in North Korea ten years ago?

5 years ago haha
I had a cheap point and shoot from Sam’s Club for that trip

The other thing with photography is the whole post processing.

Sure, you need to capture a well exposed and framed image, but the amount you can do in Lightroom is insane!

Ok… so more rabbit holes and I’m now between the g5x ii or the G1x iii.

Indecision is killing me haha

Anyone have a camera bag that they really like? Canon 60D + EFS18-200mm, a 70-300mm and a Nifty 50mm is my current kit.

My dog decided to pee on my Lowepro bag as it was sitting on the floor in my office. Can you wash those things somehow? Normal washing machine maybe?

Chrome Industries is my go to brand for camera bags.

This is a bigger thing than most people realise imo

If you’re not trying to be a professional, Lightroom mobile for iPhone is extremely intuitive. Download pictures from camera to phone via wifi, slap a preset on it, adjust exposure/etc. as needed, done.

You don’t need to be a wizard these days if you’re not trying to make a living off your photos.

RNI films app is another great one. Couple of clicks and you’ve got a half decent image.

I picked up a Wandrd bag earlier this year. It’s seriously nice and I use it for commuting into London to my studio, and travel. Quality is fantastic.

That or the X100F, provided you don’t need to swap lenses.

I’m still rocking the X100S and love it, but keep toying with the idea of jumping to the F. It’s been around the world a few times, never in a case, bought used, and still takes incredible photos with a little love in post. Only issue is it seems to be due for a replacement here pretty soon.

This is the key to buying camera equipment. There’s so much “nearly new” camera equipment out there.

Going from the S to the F would be a worthwhile upgrade I think. Plenty of upgraded features and a noticeable increase in image quality and things like autofocus. Plus the Arcos film simulation is nice.

Autofocus alone has had me wanting one for a couple years. I try to snap pictures of our two year old with the S and that’s where it really would come in handy.

Amen. I got the S right after the T came out for about $400 on Craigslist. No issues whatsoever and the shutter count was pretty low. I buy my cameras like I buy my golf clubs.

For those of you who have a real camera and still shoot on your phone, has anyone taken the plunge on the iPhone 11 Pro? I’m seriously considering one for a backup camera. Any thoughts?

I pay $10 a month for this app so my girlfriend can edit her Instagram pictures.

Do you just pay the $10 or are you a full fledged Instagram Boyfriend?
