It is with great pleasure that the fine folks of the Toledo Strippers present this years edition of The Fropen, aka the refuge’s best event in February.

We will be swinging em for 18 holes. Stableford scoring. Very simple.

As with last year, we may have to pivot due to condities. In the event of actual snow on the ground, we pivot to the “dart board” scoring system that we went with last year but we WILL NOT be pivoting to tennis balls. Bit of a knee jerk reaction there but it was the first time with true snow coverage and I wasn’t sure how it would play out. Now we know. Bring super long tees if the snow presents itself again.

Pumped to run this back again this year. Feel free to bring anyone with you if you’d like, even your youngins. Lyla and Campbell had a ton of fun sledding and snowboarding last year while we “played” and I’d imagine an even deeper kid crew would make it a blast. This is more of a social event, hit and giggle, build community type of event, clearly for the love of the game.

Also, per usual, there will be a nice warm adult bevvy prior to the first tee and I’m gonna mess around with some ideas for a tee gift.

Good crew of people
Great post round hang

what more could you ask for?

Man I really wish I hadn’t have messed it up with the snowblower spray, because I could have had a very nice 40 foot green

Ladies and gents, we got a soooooolid stretch of weather stuff coming up to melt the snow away leading up to The Fropen. Couldn’t have drawn it up any better.

Also, I got a little something planned for a solid little tee gift for the Fropeners. Limited to the first 20 people .

Cheers errybody! Looking forward to the kick off of the golfing season.

What is everyone planning to wear on Saturday? I assume golf shoes are out because it’s gonna be so muddy. Are you guys gonna wear boots of some sort? Or rain gear? I’m just not thrilled with the idea of getting my clothes covered in mud and might throw on some rain pants.

Be prepared for muddy conditions. I’ll run out there today and get a better idea and relay the message.

But bring some good ol’ shit kickers to walk around in. Rain pants would be a good idea as well

Course isn’t too terrible and tomorrow should be nice and windy so hopefully it dries out even more, shaping up to be a good one!

Is the bridge on 17 out?

They were repairing it the other day when I checked it out, I think they were just putting new boards down so I imagine its gonna be done this week. That said I dont know if the routing is planning to use 17 or 18.

Anyone planning on playing a Sunday bag? I’m thinking about carrying a 3 wood, 4 iron, 7, 9 PW and 60. I’ve only played OP once but remember it being pretty short.
