When: Saturday, 9/20/25 (first tee time 9:00am)
Where: The Strategic Fox at Fox Hills in Plymouth Michigan, an 18 hole par 3 course.
Who: 16 participants (find the signup link via UKG at the end of this post)
Cost: $10 charitable donation at signup, $62 or less due at course (TBD) (additional fee for carts)
Tee Times: 1st round; First tee time likely 9:00(TBD), subsequent tee times every 10 minutes.
2nd round; First tee time likely 12:30(TBD), subsequent tee times every 10 minutes.
Format: Two loops around the course (1st round from the blue tees, 2nd round from the white tees)
70% hdcps
Scoring for each hole:
Net par - 1pt
Par - 2pt
Net birdie - 3pt
Birdie - 5pt
No penalties for worse than net par, and no stacking points on a hole (a par/net birdie is 3pt, not 5pt).
Highest point getter at the end of 36 holes is the winner!

For those unfamiliar, ‘The Strategic Fox, designed by Ray Hearn, opened in 2001. Hearn fashioned the layout to permit the golfer to use every club in the bag on this intriguing and picturesque Par 3 course. Quick and fun to play, the Strategic Fox is great for beginners while also providing challenges for those more experienced players interested in sharpening their short-game skills.’
The course tips out at 2,303 yards from the blue tees for our 1st round, with the holes ranging from 81-179 yards. For our 2nd round from the white tees, it’s 1,740 yards, ranging from 49-139 yards.
Food: Since this is not an official ‘golf outing’ for the course and we are essentially just booking and playing public tee times, you are left to your own devices for food and beverage. The Strategic Fox clubhouse does have food and beverage available for purchase, and you should have time to grab something between the two rounds if you’d like. You’ll likely need to take care of your breakfast needs before arriving at the course.
