Not a Rome fan or a Rome hater. Pretty indifferent really, but softball guy is excellent.
I also loved when he called Jim Everett, “Chris” and he flipped the table and charged him

The “Chris” Everett thing is one of the most legendary things I’ve ever seen on TV. Epic. I used to be anti-Rome because I couldn’t stand the guys who would call in with prepared “rants” - and I still am pretty out on that whole thing. But Rome himself is hilarious. And after listening to the Nest podcast today and hearing a clip from one of his shows, it’s even clearer how influential he is to the humor of @Tron and @Randy among others. Good stuff.
He knows what he is doing but I also think he actually believes most of the nonsense he says versus some TV pundits who say things they don’t believe because it will get them to the commercial break. Like, if you ran into him at a restaurant he’d argue with you over a point he made because he needs you to know he’s right whereas a guy like Kellerman would just say something like “agree to disagree” because he doesn’t actually believe half the stuff he says and just wants to eat his dinner.
Certainly Duke is Duke. They’re on TV more than, ah, Leave it to Beavah reruns.
The Rome bit for a while when that pitcher said “Boom, outta here!” in a post game interview (@Randy I think he played for the Reds?) gave me entertainment on lunch breaks for a full summer.
Is there an ignore button for an entire thread? There a re a few I dont even want on the feed.
Brett Myers! He was pitching for Philadelphia at the time I think.
“You think he crushed it?”
There it is. I got the red and white colors mixed up in my mind.
believe it or not, there actually is

Thank you! I don’t know how I missed this!
If you go to your own profile, under notifications you can also mute entire categories of threads. You can also mute multiple users more easily from this view. Finding this feature changed my whole refuge experience
I don’t believe in flagging posts or ignoring posters, unless of course certain lines of obviously objectionable behavior are crossed. I would rather just not respond to someone I find annoying or infuriating. But I don’t like the idea of silencing someone, so as a general matter, I am not going to flag posts or mute another poster (again, unless certain lines of objectionable behavior are crossed).
hi my name nick ribeiro
Despite him being a miserable prick, I still never flagged his posts (the ones from his actual account, not his burners) or muted him.
