@MerchCzar What shorts are you wearing in the post-round interview on the hotel balcony?

Don’t mind me, I’m just admiring your shorts.

How is no one talking about the NLU bump JT got. Kid shot a 59!

Because the pod bump doesn’t apply retroactively to 2017 when he shot that 59. I don’t believe he’s in the field this week

This would make sense

I randomly met Tom playing in London last September having never heard of Cookie Jar. I need to listen to more of their stuff especially before my next trip to Europe.

Any word on this film room that was supposed to drop today? Don’t see anything on a quick look through Twitter and nothing on IG either.

Tomorrow morning. DJ replied in another thread late edit.

@tron @MerchCzar please

Wait what did they say? Maybe it’s because I’ve been to Maui a bunch (humble brag) but how else can you say It?

I’m like 80% sure that’s how I heard them say it. But I’m willing to be wrong.

I’m… not even sure the video is right. Hawaiian is a pretty “simple” language. I believe every vowel forms a syllable (along with every vowel having the same sound always), so I’d bet the locals would say it’s closer to La-nah-ee?

Edit: this article seems to support that, but then again, take everything on the internet with a grain of salt

This backs up emphasizing the ee ending like you mention. Guess I’ve been saying it wrong.

Had a native Hawaiian coworker for a couple years, and those sound just like how she’d pronounce them, so I’m fully on board with this being correct :slightly_smiling_face:

Thought I was being cool when she asked me what my favorite Hawaiian word was one time, and I answered with the state fish

Hu-mu-hu-mu-nu-ku-nu-ku-a-pu-a-a

And she said it was a common answer. I was devastated :joy:
