It’s that time of year for everyone’s favorite festive hit and giggle- Deck the Ballz at Waveland!
Date: Saturday 12/6/25
Time: 10 (ish)- will confirm tee times once we have a headcount.
Place: Sydney Marovitz GC fka Waveland GC
Format: Scotch alt-shot
Prize: I’m working on something festive and fun!
Cost: Standard Green Fees- last year I didn’t have to pay up front, so you’ll just pay at the course. If I have to front it, I will and collect Venmo on Black Friday.
Charity: $10 suggested donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository
Extras: Bring along a beverage to share so we can all keep warm, wear a holiday sweater/outfit, and head to Toonz for some drinks after the round.

These are worth grinding for haha. Golf Santas should definitely be the annual prize.
Has me wishing the wins in 2023 with @WillyK and 2024 with @Ballgame landed us the grandest of all elves on our shelves … Each holiday season I’d look at them and be reminded of my teammates sinking Christmas miracles while I hung on for reindeer life packed away in Santa’s overflowing bag of presents

GOLF PORTION OF THE EVENT IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED.
I spoke with Patrick and the course is closed for the “foreseeable future.” Obviously this isn’t a shock but I did confirm that no snow golf would be accommodated, even with tennis balls, etc.
Therefore: let’s plan on 12 pm at Toonz. Wear your festive holiday garb and we’ll have a few drinks. Please consider donating to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Chicago winters are hell for folks experiencing homelessness and GCFD provides for those looking for a bite to eat.

Congrats to @jheimlich3 on shooting -3 on the Golden Tee Tundra Course and winning Deck the Ballz 2025 (indoor version because the course closed due to six inches of snow on the ground.
