Let’s play some winter golf in Chicago! I know there is a good amount of interest to get out as a group one last time before 2025. I am happily taking over the reins from @djheadley who ran a great event last year.
Details:
Date- 12/14/24
Cost- $25? Or whatever Chicago park district charges.
Time- 10am (ish)
Location- Waveland GC (Sydney Marowitz)
Format - TBD (Likely Scotch Foursomes with maybe some holiday cheer junk mixed in).
Extra junk- wear a holiday sweater and we’ll go out for drinks after.
Update: Spoke with Patrick in the pro shop and he can’t book more than 14 days out, but he told me to call back on Friday when the manager will be there. Still gunning for a 10 am start with three tee times following. It doesn’t sound like we will have an issue blocking 10-10:30
13 people have signed up so far, so we have up to three spots open before we need to add a fifth tee time.
Format will be Scotch Foursomes (both partners tee off, choose one player’s tee shot, alt shot the rest of the way in)

Pairings will be out next week.
As is tradition, we’ll be going to Toons for drinks after golf. (3857 N. Southport)

Currently we have 4 tee times filled with 2-3 more on the waitlist. It’s not too late to sign up- if we can get a couple more, I can secure a 5th tee time.
Hell yeah! Partnering w/ Bartell is awesome. B/c if he has it, we’ll absolutely dog walk whoever is in our way or he doesn’t have it so he’ll start externalizing his inner golf demons that are haunting him and that’s waaaay funnier.
