This hits home - went to Baltimore last weekend to visit some friends and did the same thing. Somehow managed to accidentally book a nonrefundable room for 1/12/2024 (insert shrug emoji) and not realize that the Baltimore Marathon was the next morning. Upon arrival to check in I was informed of my mistake and had to pay nearly 3x normal rate to get a room due to the marathon. To add insult to injury I was essentially a hostage the next day until 12pm to leave due to the marathon route
So $500 for a one-night stay at Hilton Garden Inn - BUT I do get to return randomly in January for a 1 night stay that’s already paid for
EDIT: Also dumped a boiling hot XL coffee in my lap on the ride home the next day

Plan to get to the course at 8 and we will aim to go out by 8:30. There will be coffee and donuts in the morning, quick lunch and then start the duel around 1. Pairings will be out in the next day or two as I finalize the roster.

Just won low net at sim golf tonight, only had to hit one wedge. Which means I used up all my good shots for the week.

What’s anyone getting into tomorrow night? @Conley76 and I should be hitting the Cincinnati area around 730ish or so I hope. @CarlyRaeJepsenFan should be getting in an hour ish or so after us.
There’s Mad Tree Brewery that’s close by to Avon, great place with plenty of room. The Banks and OTR areas are generally a fun time as well. Plenty of breweries in Cincinnati to pick from and you can walk between both areas.
I’m getting back from work tomorrow, but would be happy to meet up.
Might I suggest my local watering hole, Streetside Brewery - ~5 miles/10 minutes east of downtown, as a possible stop for the evening? Smaller than Mad Tree but a great spot with a good food truck, and another cool bar/restaurant called Local Post just a stones throw away.

I’ve been to I think most of the better known breweries in cincy and I don’t recall any of them having a pool table

I believe the airbnb is in the area referred to as Winton Hills? As far as drinks Im just kind of a go with it kind of guy. @Conley76 likely has a far more refined palate than I.
