For real. I know you all mostly by name, email, refuge handle, and GHIN after months of staring at a spreadsheet to organize this. Was so awesome to meet the people and faces behind that. And thanks to everyone who brought a significant other as well!
Know I’m gonna sleep like hell. Can’t wait for the AM. Antsy kid on Christmas Eve vibes.
We’ll send out a recap email some time this week with leaderboard, update on fundraising, prizes folks won, and some space for you all to provide feedback so we can make next year even better than this.
That was the most fun I’ve ever had with my pants on. Major props to all the organizers! So great to meet everyone! What a day it was. Can’t wait for the otter poppy!
Really want to give a shout out to all those who organized… This was my first time in the tourney and I had an absolute blast! Had to run pretty quick after the final hole (babysitter was at their end) but was stoked to finally meet some of you sickos and make some new friends. Thanks again!
Thanks again to all the organizers and everyone who came out! I’ve never had more fun embarrassing myself on the course before. Shout out to my playing partners Bradley, Marcus and Greg don’t know your handles. Great pairing today had a great time with you boys! Green Hills foursome soon!
Thanks to all of you all for showing up and showing out. We will have more details about the charity stuff (killed it) but you all also all showed up in advance of your tee times, all 72 people made it and seemed like everyone was having fun regardless of their play. Met a lot of you face-to-face who I’ve only ever interacted here or on the WhatsApp chat and it was truly a delight to meet so many of you. Appreciate all who stuck around for our last group to finish (and understand those who couldn’t) and big ups to the three flight winners who will represent this crew in the NIT. And of course thanks to @Tron and @sundaybag for making the trek out here - was a blast to have you here and hope you enjoyed the good times.
Thanks to all the organizers! Was a great event all around. The breakfast on the first tee set a ridiculously high bar for the event to follow — and it delivered. Congrats to all the winners!
Just wanna give a huge thank you and shout out to all the NorCal Roosters and the wonderful tournament committee. Corica Park is beyond fun, and the North Course preview just makes my imagination run wild at what that course can grow into. Already got the okay from the Mrs. to make this an annual trip. I know I’m missing some folks because I always forget to align real name/face with refuge handle, but @GremlinGolfer@ndimaio1 and Peter Weller were an all time group. @fullbodyfix@hwb@greebs and the NorCal roost as a whole put on a great meetup and made this out of towner feel very welcome.
Is this wise? I know in our group, and likely others, we’d pick up once we were outside of scoring range for the quota. These scores don’t seem representative of what should be posted for handicap purposes.
Yeah. Quota is still a valid NCGA format with gross double bogey serving as the worst score you can get in that format. So, technically, we have to post since it’s a valid round/score. Same holds true for picking up in a fourball competition. Your unfinished hole: “X” is either net double bogey OR your “most likely score.”
Many people entered total gross score (esp in mid/high handicap flights), regardless of whether it was double bogey or not. Others entered X which defaults to a gross double bogey.
