@EZmiss are you bringing the dog to intimidate @westerj12 again this year?

We’ve been working on attack prompts the last 2 weeks.

I’ve got PTSD from that last year

Is this on Sunday?

Sorry just realized this was @me for the Muni.

Yeah it’s for Sunday. We technically are full but the weather is looking no bueno so expect that to change.

18 more 6 packs (all NC/SC with 90% SC) added to the count

All the intended declarations are on the ‘December 23 Quota’ Google sheet.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMISSIONER OF THE CHRISTMAS CLASH

Due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the pace of play in the 2nd annual Christmas Clash thanks in large part to things like LIV growing the game too much, el nino, Obama, @RDUAccountant taking too many strokes on every hole, and Phil Mickelson, we will be declaring the 2nd iteration of the Christmas Clash as a push allowing First Flight to not start off 0-2.

Is this the result we wanted? No, of course not.
Did we learn lessons? Yes, and those lessons will be applied going forward including, but not limited to, starting next year’s tee times at 11 and having a beer and bourbon hour during Golden Hour in 2024.

I look forward to having the third annual event next year when the @PalmettoGolfSociety looks to start the event 3-0.

Thank you for your attention,
@EZmiss
(in serious though, PGS waxed that ass)

Now that the official business is out of the way, sincere thanks to everyone for coming out. Truly sorry about the pace of play and I think no matter how bad I feel, I think Pete, the pro out at Stono, felt worse apologizing to our group multiple times. He’s going to make sure we get everything we want next year and I look forward to that.

Like my mom, I enjoy entertaining people and making sure people have a good time. I hope everyone had a good time on the course and enjoyed the oyster roast because my family has enjoyed putting it on the last two years.

After last year I was hoping for more to come out, and we did have about 10 more (including spouses) than 2022. I hope the word of the event continues to spread and we can have even more people out next year.

Special thanks to @westerj12 for helping me get everything organized on Unknown, help with the cups, and his “manual labor” he put in Saturday morning that forced him to shoot a 117.

Thanks again and I hope everyone is looking forward to next year already, because I am.

This is definitely one of the cooler events I’m aware of. High on my priority list, but December is a tough time of year.

Well done to you and your folks.

Aren’t you one of those east coast elites that lives in New York City? Don’t you go south for the winter?

I am an East coast elite that is not elite enough to gallivant about chasing warmer climes. The worst kind, really.

Amazing event. Pace of play was not due to NLU players for once. Nothing we could really do about it. I was in the final group and only couldn’t finish 18. (Even though 17 was tough to say the least).

This was such a great event and the hang after was like nothing else I’ve experienced at other refuge events.

Thanks a ton to @EZmiss and @westerj12 for putting together the event and huge shout out to EZ and his family for hosting this bunch of sickos. My wife had such a a good time at the after party that she has already agreed to next year.

The effort Will goes through to make sure I play bad golf is absurd. Last year he had his dog attack me the night before and this year he’s got me in his yard like Paul Bunyan chopping down trees.

But this weekend was great. Will and his family do a great job hosting this and it takes a lot of work on their part to make it a special day/evening. The golf was bad, very bad even, with @RDUAccountant and I but the vibes remained mostly high for the round. Enjoyed meeting some new guys on Saturday night and look forward to doing it all again next year!

There are rumors (with possible video evidence) that @JNorwoodFive ended up in the pool at the end of the evening as well!
