I hate to speak for anyone but I would argue college football is “dying” a bit. I’ll absolutely own this as just my opinion and not reflective of anyone else’s experience, but I’m pretty much out on college football. The portal, NIL/NIL collectives, conference realignment…it’s just not that much fun anymore.
I don’t want to get bogged down in that, but I think the tweet only makes sense if they are saying that CFB is increasing ads while their product is declining, which gives PGA Tour ideas of doing the same. Just how I read it.

I’ve been having a back and forth with a guy in the replies who claims that it is “only a handful of golf nerds” who have a problem with golf coverage on TV. However, most other replies seem to be questioning Brandel’s takes.

4 years ago i was in Hawaii for christmas and my wife and i went to hike diamondhead on christmas morning. I ran into Brandel while she was in the the bathroom and all i could muster out was “are you brandel chamblee?” after he said yes, i replied “i enjoy your analysis on the golf channel” and he was on his way.
