This year, Big Plex will be kicking off the Halloween weekend the only way we know how: a whacky version of team golf golf at the most party-friendly course in town. Will there be candy? Who could say. Will there be good times had by all? Absolutely.
What: A two-person team shamble with two different divisions - net best ball for the couples, net alt shot for non-couples.
Where: The golf vibes capitol of Dallas, Keeton Park.
When: Saturday, October 28. Tee times will take place from 830-10.
Cost: $30 Walking/$50 Riding Per Person
Ladies/Significant Others are Strongly encouraged to play. In the spirit of the season, Golf-appropriate costumes highly suggested. Spooky tunes playlists preferred. Best dressed will win a prize.
As this is a chill event by its definition, suggestions for watching football or any other festivities post-round are welcomed in this thread.
We’re capping it at 36 individuals. As you can see by the sheet, there are still plenty of spots open, but we’d like to solidify the list by tomorrow and give back any tee times we don’t need.
Final Update: with the flood warning extending to basically noon tomorrow, we’re gonna cancel the tournament. We will work on a new idea at a later time, but obviously it won’t be Halloween themed. For anyone still wanting to risk it, we will be keeping some times to play. As of now the practice greens are closed but the course is playable. If you have any questions, give me a holler.
