ABandoned Dudes Classic @ Cabot Citrus Farms (Brooksville, FL) May 17 2025

Shoutout @EricF, ham’n’egged it well today. Wish we hadn’t bled those 4 strokes after the delays day 1, but oh well…. Great playing with you!!

Shout out to @Big_RanDeer for an awesome event and organization. @Cyunits might be the fastest to pull the trigger on any shot I have every seen. We had a great time on black (Hans/Wagner). The doak definitely has my number. Can’t play blue. And the Red course was spectacularly beautiful. I am already thinking about my next trip. For any lurkers out there. Definitely get a caddie and if you’re lucky to get Tim from SoCal he is a magically green reader. Too bad I was not as good at actually putting….

$810 was half of the skins pot, and that donation was just made to the charity. With this and the raffle we raised $4040 for the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

This place is fucking awesome.

While that maybe true, we at least won the our last battle and took a 5-5-5 W home. @eatonsb we need to do some soul searching haha

My gui! I’ve yet to come last (that I remember) in a NLU event so thanks for keeping me above water out there.

Huge thanks to @Big_RanDeer for getting this together.

It’s always fun meeting new golf sickos and I can’t wait for next year’s!!

Had endless fun out there, and it was great to put some faces to names I see here all the time. Awesome event, can’t wait to run it back.

What an awesome weekend. Streamsong was definitely a place I did not expect to check off my bucket list right away and could not have done it without @Big_RanDeer, thanks so much for organizing all of this.

Really enjoyed playing Black with @Jalspurg & @noles1800, Blue with @CMUgol4 & @Schikolas, and Red with @dinonuggets & @Proff22. Could not have asked for betting pairings all three days.

What an absolute pleasure teaming up all three rounds with @mintbucket, who went on a straight heater on Red yesterday to help us get to net -7 for the day.

Heading back to New England with a great memory from all three courses:

Black - my 2nd shot on 18 in the near darkness to a few feet is by far a top-3 shot of my life. This was after I hit consistent hozzle rockets that morning on the Roundabout.

Blue - driving the green on 13 to about 10 feet (did not make the putt, comfy 3).

Red - draining a long putt on the opposite side of the green for par on 1 after an incredible read from caddie Garrett.

Cannot wait to get back to this place. For anyone heading down soon, 100% recommend Garrett for a caddie. Great vibes and electric at reading the greens out there.

Been lurking on this thread for a while now before a Streamsong buddies trip mid-June. Anything we should be concerned about as far as the conditions go with all this aerification/healing going on? Hoping they’ll be through the worst of it by then, but was curious what y’all thought. Thanks!

By mid-June it should be fine and back to normal. Only thing that was in truly rough shape were the greens on Red.

Seconding that Red’s greens were in pretty rough shape but did not damper the experience at all.

Blue was fine. They let us play the ball up on Black in the fairway and even with that, the fairways seemed fine to me.

Will share photos and thoughts after I get home. But had to share this, as I’d imagine this is quickly becoming a common Refuge POV.

did we ever get a final count as to how many times it was refilled? I heard rumors the number was in the high teens but need confirmation.

Like others have said, Blue is fine, Red will be back to normal, and Black might have a few sketchy areas on the fairway.

The one thing you should mentally prepare for is lightning delays. The delays could be hours long… and the restaurant/bar in the Red/Blue clubhouse cannot accommodate two courses worth of golfers for a long period of time. Black is a much better place to be stuck for a delay.

It’ll be almost expected in June. Try to play as early in the day as you can.

My guy! We were vibin’ the last couple of days. Enjoyed it and can’t wait to run it back.

Awesome, thanks for the pro tip. We have red/blue in the mornings and black both afternoons, so hopefully that works out.

36 a day in June? The gators might have some fresh meat.
