A fake friend request from @kvv

I was sitting on my couch today watching DVR delayed coverage from the second round of The Open Championship at Troon, enjoying the difference between “trackman in a dome golfers” failing, vs “artist” golfers succeeding, in the windy conditties at Troon. (We need more tournaments like this btw to identify fake professional golfers from real professional golfers, but that’s a convo for another day). While watching the coverage just as the wind picked up, I got a notification on IG that our resident ballknower and big J journalist, @KVV, had sent my private IG account, a friend request. I was overjoyed, thinking that my recent comment on a Shotgun Start pod about housecats and me warming up a bowl of milk to go along with my pot of coffee in anticipation of Thursday morning’s first round, was appreciated by a man who had set the standard of PGA Tour housecats on the SGS pod. I replied to the invite to let him know how much I love and appreciated the request and that I loved his written and verbal contributions to our beloved NLU. I also reached out to another Refuge and fellow Peachtree Collective member, @dmnd, to express my joy that KVV reached out to me to send a friend request while no doubt busy working the Open Championship. I rejoiced at my new found fortune and friendship.
HOWEVA……shortly thereafter, KVV started to push me into signing up for a Crypto webinar, seemingly betraying the persona I’ve come to know and love. Assuming this person was a fraud, I pushed back, asking about their thoughts of the recent Soly vs TC match at Troon, but I didn’t say “Troon”. They obviously got lost in the details at that point, but I’m bummed I didn’t get to be an IG friend of the real KVV lol.
No pressure at this point just in the story, for the real KVV to send an IG friend request to me, as I’m not that interesting, or post much on IG, but just thought my story and subsequent comment screenshots, would be funny.
Side note, watch out @kvv, your IG account has been hacked

I got one from another fake account too. I sent KVV a DM with a screen shot giving him a heads up and I reported it

Poor KVV. Our boy deserves better. Is it possible these are angry ESPN bots trying to tarnish the golden boy’s reputation for leaving the Syndicate?!?

The Russians got you bad @KVV.
