I have bad memories there.
I did an intro to curling class there a few years ago, fell on my tailbone, and had to sit on a damn cushion for several months afterwards.
The sad thing is I didn’t even fall doing something like sweeping. I was just throwing the rock, ungracefully slipped while crouched and fell straight on my tailbone.
First and last time I curled.

sorry to hear that. It was the first place I ever curled as well. Curled for almost 25 years after that…highlight of my career was skipping the consolation championship team in the St. Paul Winter Carnival, making a double raise take out to hit the button to steal 1 in the final end…like some sort of Brier god.
Regardless, I had the opposite first experience, and was completely bitten.
