Switch Oxbow and FCC. You definitely won’t be exhausted after some of that “Oxbow 5 hour energy”…
Like 3 people are going to get this joke. I loved it.
My entire purpose was to make you and @JScore chuckle.
You nose how to make me laugh.
Fair Hills is like one of those resorts from Mrs Maisel or Dirty Dancing. Families can still rent places for the whole summer. It’s crazy.
Wildflower is fun, however they have two holes that belong on The Yuck Club. #8 and #10…
Perfect. Some late night pong action while sipping on some cold brews. Sign me up.
Oxblow?
Both #8 and #10 need a bit of tree trimming to make them a bit more fair and fun.
Just buy a house in Duluth and spend the summer up north.
Oooh, we like that.
I can drop my wife off at her sister’s and jog over to Hawktree.
There would be no hesitation on my part in accepting an invite to the member/guest there. Place has to get out of control that weekend.
We gotta make it up to Painted Woods if we’re in the area. My old man would be very happy about that.
So let’s do both.
I just looked up OCC and have so many questions, what the boots, guis?
For the first minute I stared at it I thought it was a 9 hole course with some man-made water feature running through it, which was odd. And then I zoomed out and found some missing holes (look to be new)…
Which appear to connect to some holes that appear to not jive at all with the rest of the course, so were probably part of some old golf course?
Now, once I saw it was an RTJ Jr design some of it made sense but still, what in the actual fuck is going on down there, besides this
It’s … a lot. I don’t know the ins and outs, but it was 18, flooded constantly, they got a shit ton of public money for a private course, and rebuilt it to stop flooding. They made 9 new while playing 9 old and now it’s 18 new.
if we’re talking Riverwood or Tom O’Leary, I’m in. I don’t want any of the modern stuff.
Genius.
I’m sitting here thinking we need to narrow this list down a bit and you add 2 more courses to the list?!
I do like Riverwood. Haven’t played Tom O in probably 20 years?
Love the vibe at Tom O so very much
That proshop attached to the ice arena?
I can smell it. That vintage wood bleachers type of smell.
for sure that long for me. I’d say '91. I’ve been back to Riverwood once since then, but it’s literally the course where I learned to be a decent player. Went from a 12-15 handicap to a 2. With Wilson Staff blades and a Cleveland Classic driver…then added a Founders Club 3 wood. Eventually bought some PingEye2 Beryllium square grooves from the pro at Riverwood when we became friends.
ice arena/CURLING CLUB!!!
