I am hoping we don’t get much rain beforehand and it gets a good chance to bake out some. That is when it gets extra fun. Thick grass and rock hard greens.
The rough is lush. The fairways are firm despite the rain.
Got them working to get the new patio done in time for us (or the qualifier, whatever)

I might just putt only downhill putts on the practice green at my home course between now and Tuesday. And my home course already has them rolling quick too.

I don’t really care either way but are we doing like any sort of competition amongst those playing for like part of the entry fee at all or more of just a battle against ourselves to see what we would shoot?

Mostly a battle against the course/yourself. There will be a net and gross winner awarded.
The entry fee covered that and some swag to be revealed at the course.

Playing with a broken pinky but my scores have only suffered a couple strokes through the injury. I think the toughness of the course will cover as a better excuse for my score anyway!

Did my rough gameplan off the tees with the MyStrategy from Shotscope and especially if the fairways are firm with some decent rollout there’s going to be a lot of less than driver holes for me. Last year the scorecard yardage was 6,663yds so definitely feels like keeping it in play is going to be key rather than simply sending it everywhere.
Yeah you hit the ball even farther than I do, and if I remember correctly, last year I hit driver 4-5 times.
While obviously it’s beneficial to have as short of an approach as possible, there are some places not to miss and those come into play much more for me with driver than FW.

Been quite a number of years since I’ve played SCC, only remember a few of the holes. Can’t wait to get ejected tomorrow. So you guys are saying if you only hit driver 250 ish to swing for the fences then?
