Cody and Neil return with mea culpas on their minds: They've got a few, but they're also asking for a few from the audience. They also discuss Neil’s move to the burbs, hardware store loyalties, what they're watching, making sense of content feedback on social media, Neil's appearance on a panel at Columbia and more.
I hope this is the last time you bring up what’s been going on the last 3 months on-line. Hope you got it out of your system and are moving on after this episode.
@Cody your talk about movies and shows along with your background got me wondering if you have seen the movie Warfare on HBO Max and if so what are your thoughts on it’s realism?
EGO lawn tools fuq. I’ve got the snow blower too and it’s delightful to operate. If your driveway isn’t that big it’s got plenty of juice to get the job done.
Most town recycling centers will let you prove town residences with a bill (gas, electric, cable - anything with your name and the address), no need to wait to change the license.
Also, @MerchCzar Amor Towles who wrote Lincoln Highway has a few books. Gentleman in Moscow was great (and a fine TV show).
Great episode! ![]()
shoutout to @cody and @MerchCzar who motivated me to clean my grill while i listened to the latest episode
I really enjoyed Rules of Civility as well
I’ve got the trimmer, mower, blower, and hedge trimmer.
I’m not a small engine mechanic and I feel like you basically have to be one when you own gas powered equipment. Then you have to keep oil and gas on hand and no thanks. Don’t want it.
Plenty of power and battery life in the eGo line.
I have been transitioning all my stuff to electric over the last couple years. Most small engine stuff is easy enough to keep operating but it’s so nice to be able to just pop a battery in and go to work.
It’s on my night stand, gotta get to it soon.
Neil, toss the hex keys. After you finish the last piece of nursery furniture you will declare that you are doing buying furniture that requires assembly.
Can’t remember the last time I used one of the hex keys provided. I use a ratcheting screwdriver and find the right size hex bit. Saves your fingertips and your sanity.
This. He also has a set of short stories out now, and his first novel Rules of Civility… rules. The Missus and I both agree Lincoln Highway is the weakest of the three novels.
Also, if you have the E-Go leaf blower on turbo, the battery empties out in minutes. Pro move is two chargers and THREE batts. We do the trimmer and leaf blower combo at least once a month.
