The Seamsters hold our final meeting of the 2025 regular season to look at the close division and wild card races. Then, Randy plays the role of game show host and asks DJ and Soly to guess five players based on their less-than-ideal second-half stats, and we close with some thoughts on MVP, Cy Young, and Rookie of the Year award candidates.
American Family Insurance Field didn’t make my Cubs feel very welcome in the first two blow outs of the NLDS. DJ has to be loving life on the Brewers bandwagon. The Brewers are an impressive crew and I’m a fan of the way they play ball. I’m hoping the Cubs can get the series back to Milwaukee, however slim the odds.
GO Cubs! With the series tied at 2-2, we head back to Wrigley North to play for all the marbles. Certainly Randy owes some level of mea culpa for his Cubs takes. DJ, I hope it’s a memorable game 5. Be well… Go Cubs!!!
Matty Ice and now Clayton Kershaw in one week on the Trap Draw, feels like we have broken contain and are running free in the open field @tron and @Randy. All the efforting years ago from the city pods are finally paying off.
Genuinely appreciate the Seamsters Union for adding to my 2025 baseball experience. Back when you could watch most of the Cub’s broadcast on WGN, I did. Over the years, my interest in baseball has ebbed and flowed to varying degrees and this year I was most of the way back to fully invested. I’m not willing to pay for a Cubs package, but I did follow the daily results and watched when available. Obviously, the incredible post season was a beautiful way to conclude the season. The Seamsters episodes were a real treat and additive to my overall experience. Thanks.
Now, let’s hope baseball doesn’t f… it up with some sort of stoppage in 2026…
