NW Suburbs count?

I’m interested in playing Sunday. Don’t know anything about Glen Club, is that one of the better options?

Where are you planning on staying?

Glen Club is fine… but a lot of other great options and local favorites in the area.

I’m staying in northbrook as I grew up there and parents live there. Woo free lodging. (Currently live in Detroit)

Was trying to convince my dad to join me at dubsdred but thinking of staying closer. Hence Glen or Pine Meadows. Open to suggestions.

If you’re open to Pine Meadow, Stonewall Orchard is 15 minutes from there. Sunset Valley renovation in Highland Park is a crowd favorite. Further North, Thunderhawk and Shepards Crook are very solid. Out by ORD, Preserve of Oak Meadows and Arrowhead are both good. If time is a constraint, Canal Shores is awesome. Makray is a ball buster in the NW Suburbs.

My dad plays sunset all the time. His standing tee time was there while sportsman’s was being renovated into Heritage Oaks. Makray looks fun.

I’m eyeing staying at a Hyatt in Deerfield. Several of these look great.

@adam17walt I’m open to just about anything, that Dubsdread that you mentioned looks solid too. Google tells me a 40 minute drive but I assume traffic can make that worse. Thunderhawk, Sheperd’s Crook, and Preserve at Oak Meadows all look very enjoyable as well.

Your mileage may vary with any of the Cog Hill courses. Most of us locals that are in the NLU/Fried Egg sphere would tell you to avoid it.

If you’re in Deerfield, I’d go with the following:
Sunset Valley
Shepards Crook
Thunderhawk
Preserve
Makray
Canal Shores

If you are at Hyatt Deerfield, I strongly recommend some sneaky good tavern pizza over at Barnabys in northbrook

Greatly appreciate it! I’d be glad to pair up if you’re skipping the game as well.

That’s the one. Definitely sounds like something I’m interested in so I’ll make a note of that. Also, feel free to reach out as we get closer if you want to get a time for Sunday.

I’m also not going to the game and am open to Sunday golf somewhere.

If the forecaddie isn’t required, you don’t need it at Glen Club. Honestly, if you can get on the Glenview Park District courses (either the main 18 holer or the Glenview Prairie Club accross the street from Glen Club, are more fun and better value, IMO)

Just got the handicap email, silver tees from 7400 is gonna be a good time. Good thing i have a nice collection of hybrids and fairway woods to use all day.
