Because it rarely comes out that a guy was truly a good dude or better than people thought. It always ends up with stories about how they suck. Like how many people thought Phil was a good dude and a solid family man?

Listen, we’ve all packed for a golf trip and then unexpectedly get talked in to extending the trip for two more rounds. At that point you just get creative.

People fluff their lies in my golf league where the only thing on the line is a chance to win a sleeve of Titleist Velocity’s.
The stakes are a tad bit higher for the pros.
