Is the chaplain allowed to set the distance measuring device to New Testament? Or does it have to be kept in Old Testament?
I feel like there are countless examples of the elderly saying that they wish they werenāt so career/money oriented throughout their lives. Money is important to an extent but time and time again people verify that relationships trump money, especially when youāre already set like the Scott family surely is. Iām glad Ted is going to be there for his kidās ceremony. Are ceremonies boring? For sure. Being there for family, especially a family as close as they seem to be? Thatās never the wrong choice.
As the old saying goes, no one on their deathbed says āI wish I would have worked moreā.
We donāt know the nature of the relationship between Ted and his daughter, he actually corrected D Rap on Twitter the other day to note that it was a daughter and not his son, so itās entirely possible she really wanted him there, and yeah, thatās different from some of our own personal experiences involving graduations.
In the spirit of Scottieās new found religious fervor after his incarceration, letās not judge others lest we also be judged.
Itās a high school graduation. If the kid was graduating from medical school or something, sure. Only way it would be worse in my mind is if it was one of those fake āgraduationsā the do now for like kindergarten and middle school.
New rule: chaplains can only speak Latin and use Roman numerals.
Me and Geoff looking down on the masses taking bad drops, playing juiced clubs, listening to music on the course, growing the game, etc.
I believe the opposite kids are impressionable. They need support and to see they have people there for them. When you graduate medical school youāre a fucking adult, get on with your life.
My cousin graduated from law school last week and neither parent was there because theyāre both dead. Iām pretty sure he was glad they were at his high school graduation. No guarantee Tedās around for anymore of these
Iām judging all day from the comfort of my couch and occasionally my Toto toilet / Washlet. These fingers donāt stop.
I donāt see why the stakes of the event matter. If itās important to the family itās important to the family. Every family is different, sure, but HS graduation is a massive deal for many families as it signals the end of childhood, kid moving out, often out of state, etc. Yes most everyone graduates high school so itās not some incredible feat, but itās a momentous occasion signaling big transition for both the kid and parents.
How meticulous will the chaplain be in noting the alleged fluffing of lies by his man?
My grandfather passed last month at 98, and heād been very successful at running a foundry business in Rhode Island, but no one talked about that at his funeral. It was all conversations around how he interacted with people and how he made them feel important. He made a good deal of money in his life, but nobody cared about that.
No one is going to care about your title when you die.
Thatās where I shake out. We can do a family dinner on Monday and daddy can spring for the Wagyu and Kobe beef since heās got even more cash in his pocket.
What if school is difficult for his daughter and this is something theyāve been working hard for many years? What if this is the highest education sheāll get for whatever reason? Or what if she has a dad who travels over half the year and probably misses most every big sporting event or concert and wants her dad there for something?
And heāll be back for Sunday. Feels like the easiest decision theyāll make this week. If Scott didnāt let Ted go, Iād be here dragging his ass for being an asshole boss who thinks heās more important than his employees.
Golfās back in we can kill this stupid debate now.
Glad to provide yāall softies parents with a writing prompt.
ZB looks like he went on Brysonās 10,000 calorie diet without the workouts
Different strokes for different folks. Iād rather have my dad at the ceremony than eat some nice steak. Worldly riches are vastly overrated.
