I disagree with needing to equate those things in the same sentence to imply heās still probably a bad guy. Those feel like separate topics Geoff is wanting to wind in to one narrative. But think what you want. I donāt think Scottie has a dirty record on the course that makes him a bad ombre.

Also, the cops wouldnāt have done anything differently even if Jeff had intervened. Theyāre not known for their critical thinking skills and backtracking in anyway is completely off the table.
Jeff couldāve produced Scottieās tour card, birth certificate, and tournament players badge and it wouldnāt have made a difference. Scottie was taking the ride.

Yeah I get that, but at the same time there should be a recognition that you need to intervene some times.
Not saying in any way that this was or was not that time. But everything has grayness to it.

For the record, my idiot brother is a police officer in a large metropolitan city. Heās been firing off texts since yesterday morning justifying the police action. He is my dipshit younger brother. I wouldnāt expect anything different.

To be clear, I think the inference was Geoff believes the police report contrary to other reports because Scottie is predisposed to that kind of behavior based on his on the course actions. Thatās how I read it - which is scummy to me
