G&M is super legit. I grew up in Catonsville and never had a better crabcake. A bit “basic” but it lives up to the hype IMO. Sides and rest of the menu are nothing special and you’ll be floored by the price of 2 crabcakes but it’s worth it.
@KVV How is Catonsville Gourmet these days? I haven’t been in probably 7 years but it was a hit in it’s early days.
Excited to get back to Cville and play in my first NLU event!
You’re better off with a driverless half-set and a 6-pack at THE Carrol Park 9 than you are playing Timbers, Fairway Hills and most of Compass Point’s 36-hole facility (great range tho).
As a recent Baltimore resident, I think most of this is on point, but hard disagree on The Charleston. For my dollar it’s by far the best restaurant in Baltimore, and well worth the price. I’ve had some phenomenal meals there. If it were in NYC or DC it would be at least 2x the price.
Another hidden dining gem — Alma Cocina. Great latin inspired food. Also very allergy friendly if need be.
That might be a stretch. The North East combo at compass is better than CP but the history of CP is better and more interesting. All things being equal if tell everyone to play forest park, pine ridge, or woodlands.
Just gonna post this as forewarning; the greater Baltimore/DC area is experiencing near-catastrophic rains and thunderstorms like 5x a week this summer. I’d push travel times as early as possible, much less likely to be impacted.
Congressional got completely flooded out in yesterdays storms.
Did the same. Depart 6am, arrive 730am, play 18 at Worthington Manor with some buddies of mine shortly thereafter. Going to be a long day. Worth it.
That reminds me, might have a spot available at Worthington Manor if anyone is local/in town and wants to play Saturday AM. I’ll check back in later this week to confirm.
