I am happy to put together a visitor’s guide for any/all who come to my city.

I did exactly this and had a ton of fun (NCCGA golf). It was super competitive. We had teams shoot under par for multiple day events. Was very happy with my choice to get a D1 education instead of trying to play golf at a JC

Hey KVV, looks like Bulle Rock is considered the best public golf course around Baltimore. What’s the next three on your list?

Depends on how far you want to drive.

Bulle Rock is a legit 40-50 mins from Baltimore. And it’s good! One of the only Pete Dye designs you can play for $100. But I always balk a bit when people call it a Baltimore course.

Best public courses within 20 mins of the city:

-Eisenhower Preserve
-Greystone
-Waverly Woods
-Mountain Branch

Best public courses within an hour of Baltimore:

-Worthington Manor
-Whiskey Creek
-Musket Ridge
-Queenstown Harbor

Fun courses that are a step down in conditioning but are a fun experience and a real Baltimore experience:

-Rocky Point
-Forest Park
-Pine Ridge
-Mount Pleasant

Courses I would avoid:

-Timbers of Troy
-Fairway Hills

Area courses that are fine. Neither good nor bad.

-The Woodlands
-Diamond Ridge
-Rattlewood
-Fox Hollow

Favorite courses that are technically in Maryland but might as well be in New York because they are three hours from Baltimore:

-Rum Pointe
-Swan Point Yacht Club

If we haven’t heard by now is it a wrap?

Not necessarily. We already had a few cancellations so I’ll get new names for those tomorrow.

Thanks, best of luck to everyone. Always next year!

Holy shit. I won a lottery! Now for the fun part of convincing my wife to let me go to Baltimore!

Hell yeah.

Legitimately agree with the ranking of every course you mentioned. Timbers might be the worst course I’ve played in the entire Mid-Atlantic.

Important note: Eisenhower was recently a victim of ATV’s. Lots of damage to the course at the moment.

That’s right. Ugh. Definitely steer clear.

I know it’s early but I’d be interested in sharing an AirBNB or the like with whoever else might be willing. I’m looking at flying in early Sunday morning and flying out Tuesday at some point. So staying Sunday and Monday night.

If I get the green light, that is.

I was planning on throwing a tent in @KVV front yard, but this might be a better option… Let me get with my associate @DirtyHawg and figure out a gameplan next week when we are at Park Mammoth.

Wait is @KVV gonna let us all camp in his front yard?!

If interested in staying in Baltimore, check out Federal Hill, Locust Point, Fells Pt., Canton neighborhoods. All easily accessible to 95 to get out to Caves easily enough, but also walking/close distance to local restaurants, bars, etc.

I’m in Fed, happy to be a local resource in addition to @KVV for golf, bars, food, Bmore experiences, etc.
