Never say never!
I see where her priorities lie
4th in CME standings for Americans this year. Not bad at all.
KPMG at Baltusrol last year was the last big food poisoning event you were thinking of.
To be fair you never know if its food poisoning or a viral thing. This was as bad as ive seen it though. I was working for Maja last week, and within 20 minutes of her withdrawing I was on another bag because that players caddy went down. In total I think it was 10+ players and 7-8 caddies, plus I heard some volunteers and media as well. #not good.
Also, small cut because of the Ams. They still payout top 65 and ties, but only 50 and ties play the weekend. Kind of an MDF situation like they used to to on PGAT
the format sucks. Get the AJGA girls the hell out of there, and especially get the AJGA parents as far away as possible. And while we are at it get the club caddies the hell out of there who are fistpumping 10 footers for par while the rest of us are working for something that actually matters.
something something TV contracts something something budget cutsâŚ
Saw it on Jane Parkâs IG that she and Marina Alex will join the Friday live pod.
Really looking forward to it.
Was going to try and not watch any of the weekend coverage to record it and watch upon returning from a golf trip and theyâre certainly making that a challenge!
something something NBA contract something something
Heading over to watch some practice rounds this afternoon with my 9 year old son. Still canât believe my cousin picked this Friday to get married in Charleston. I donât really even like him. Excited to see how the ladies handle the course and to see how it looks on TV.
wonât be much of this happening based on whatâs been shared
I know we usually talk pro womenâs golf in this thread, but USWO has itâs own established thread: 2024 US Women's Open - #2835
Although, it would be very Refuge of us to have the same discussion in multiple threads
Major news: Lexi Thompson retiring from the LPGA at the end of this year.
I believe @Randy said something about this last year, prior to Solheim, that she was winding things down.
I hope that she finds fulfillment and happiness in the next stage of her life, especially given what has happened in pro golf over the past week.
And some cheeky language during practice yesterday (3/3):
