Love it….was following that today. She had to go through two qualifiers right? One last week to even get in to todays? Very impressive for an am to do that.
I was hoping the practice rounds were open to the public this week so I could take my 2.5 year old daughter….don’t think taking her to a live round is in the cards haha.
Yes she did. Had to make it through a playoff at the first qualifier to make it to Monday. The first qualifier was day after winning the NE Junior Am Invitational
Some more background on her story of recovering from an injury she suffered at the 2022 US Open at Brookline when she was struck in the head by a golf ball.
Likewise, was really looking forward to going this year then the whole Labor Day weekend travel got in the way.
Also TPC Boston is neat and has to be easy logistics wise with all the parking down the road but I wish they were able to go to one of the many historic courses around here. I get it though it would be a tough sell to get members to give up their club Labor Day weekend.
Have heard rumblings that this week was due to the Olympics being this year, and that in the future the date should change. Having it earlier in the summer OR in early September when the Pats aren’t at home would be awesome.
We made it 2 hours, which is longer than I expected. Wish we could have stuck around for @LPondgolf and the afternoon wave but put this one on me, should have timed it better.
We had the whole fam out to watch my niece yesterday pm. They were excited to see Rose on the range and Lexi out on the course.
Also had to include some shots of my niece on the golf course. Shout out to Sophia Schubert and Laura Wearn who treated her fantastically. And congrats to Sophia for making the cut. Her wedge game was unbelievable and she made every par putt. Unfortunately she had a couple power lip outs on birdie putts.
Golf is so weird. Haeran Ryu shot 62 yesterday. She’s +4 after 4 holes today, and now tied for the lead with Jin Young Ko, and LC is only one shot back!
