It’s a FARgiveness problem.
Inbee was the comp I kept seeing in my head
But Inbee is one of the greatest putter of all time and Jiyai Shin’s putting stroke is scary.
Purely a full swing comp. should have prefaced that. Vibes wise she might be dimarco, I was more saying Everytime she had that armsy back swing I kept thinking inbee
I keep thinking about Lydia’s approach shot into the road hole. Incredible. It was awesome to see that hole with some teeth instead of the Trackmen hitting mid and short irons with almost no fear of the left rough.
Especially in the conditions she played the hole. Probably the worst hole to have the swell come in and she handled it like it was nothing. Truly a jarring shot
Kind of insane that Lydia is just ~a little over a year older than Nelly and ~6 months older than Lillia
Woah. I did not realize this
Yeah without getting too much into it it’s:
Lydia 4/1997
Lilia 10/1997 (updated the first post to properly reflect)
Nelly 7/1998
It feels like she’s so much older lol
50 minutes of FedEx Cup Playoffs talk before getting to the Women’s Open?
They were two separate live shows that they stitched together into one pod. They went live on YouTube immediately after each event, Women’s Open being first.
Yeah Open talk should have led pod feed in perfect world but whatever. Cody was probably the one merging the two shows and publishing after a long day!
Mea culpa.
Think this is where your Mea Culpa needs to be!
Tough morning for someone who doesn’t listen to live shows.
This doesn’t quite hold up when the average woman in the field had +/- 137 mph ball speed off the tee.
I think they have a St. Andrews’ double greens combined with the modern Tour player pace of play, problem.

This doesn’t quite hold up when the average woman in the field had +/- 137 mph ball speed off the tee.
And yet, the women were three deep on the 5th tee waiting for the fairway to clear. Lots more players going for it in two nowadays.
What’s your point there? Course set up problem? There was probably 60 yards more tee available behind where they were playing it from on 5.
Just that the pace would be better if the ball didn’t go as far (especially for the men but in this case for the women too). TOC has that as an option but we know moving tees back is not a great idea, and teeing off right next to the previous green is sick and should be preserved. Agree that there are also behavioral pace issues.
I disagree, I watched a ton of the coverage this week and I felt like the course scaled perfectly with the modern women’s game.
I watched the 2000 Open Championship live and while I may be forgetting something (someone please correct me if I’m wrong), I don’t recall a pace of play issue and those players hit it materially longer than the modern women.
