A match play question… Another flocker (whose handle doesn’t seem to be popping up here) and I had quite a duel going today until a little peon in a completely covered warm looking golf/farm equipment vehicle came up to us on the 13th green at Forest Akers and told us it was closing time when there was a ton of light left. We went ahead and played 14 then skee-dad-led. Are there any rules for how this should get settled? One player was 2 up with 4 to go and no more strokes on the line. We were unsure and just said we’d figure something out… curious if anyone has info or especially strong feelings
Some discussion in the slack but wanted to drop a line here in case others have the same problem with incomplete rounds (course bs, weather delays, etc). If you can meet up again starting 2 up with 4 to play it covers the 18 hole match format. Additionally you could start 2 up and go for a full additional 9 or 18 and have it be a longer match. Really up to you and your schedules. Could even do putt putt match.
Let’s target getting play in rounds complete this weekend and only stretching to the end of May as last resort. Want to give enough time for the sweet 16 round to play out.
