Topa Topa and Ojai Valley Brewery are solid options, with Topa having a “Little Sama” food window there with some really tasty wings among other options. Looks like wood fired pizza will be on hand at OVB on the 20th. For coffee, I admittedly haven’t tried anything, but have heard good things about Ojai Coffee Roasters, which is on the way.

Rumors are swirling that a NorCal Roost member had to drop and they are being replaced last minute. Hate to hear that a hot swap is taking place, especially from a roost that stood on such moral high ground, to quote my “never failing to show up to an event they commit to” brothers from the north:
Damn shame. I’m interested to hear who gets to sub in for the 4th spot on the NorCal team though

My understanding is that one of these guys fell and separated his shoulder. Or something similar. My understanding with the quotes you’ve resurfaced is your guys just no-showed and you invited some random buddies instead. Good luck to both squads this weekend.

Hi @JoeyKnish i know you’re super busy NOT preparing to compete this weekend so I appreciate the input here from the peanut gallery you’re sitting in.
We have a serious injury that one of our players sustained last weekend. It really fucking sucks. I ran the replacement/alternate protocol by your captain, along with the 30 other Roost captains. We agreed that if a replacement is needed due to injury, we are good.
My player who is most likely dropping out is devastated. This was his major for the year. And quite frankly was going to my horse against you guys. So the argument could made we are a much weaker team now.
All that being said, I’m the mutha fuckin replacement who is stepping in. My game is sharp; my goatee is harsh; and my expectations are high.
Y’all know what happened the last time I took on someone from SoCal at Soule Park.

Soule Park is a magical place. Ojai is an absolute delight of a mountain town. I cannot wait to get back there and hang out with you all at Zaidee’s and Topa Topa for hours on end. Let’s have a blast this weekend.

Dont even want to address Barton Fink’s comments but I’ll just say the difference between RACDG and Lowcal is when one of our comrades goes down or is unable to attend, we got stacks on stacks on stacks of eager soldiers ready to step up and take his place.
I’ll be supporting the boys from the hospital bed ala Gary Bertier (not really, just hurt my hand) and I know @GremlinGolfer is gonna be able to bring upwards of 85% of the good vibes I was plannin on bringin
