We actually had this discussion way back. To U or not to U. Of course, to spell it correctly, it needs a U. But is it more dishonourable to leave it out? Clearly.

I know the sheep has some historical value from the original RACDG groups, but I’m with @tdaly. Drop the sheep, maybe figure out how to get something golf or NY in there somewhere else, and this logo is fire.

We at the RACDG NorCal will always hold a special place in our hearts for the sheep but we felt the bear was more important. And when we workshopped some alternate logos with the bear dragging a bloodied, dead sheep head in his mouth across the putting green, we thought that might be too violent. So we removed Mr. Sheep all together.
As mentioned in our IG post all “old” sheep merch are now considered collectors items.
