Such a bizarre reason for saying fuck someone, he had an opportunity to make more money than he did teaching. Who gives a shit. Having to spend time with DJ Khaled seems like enough punishment to me. So many people lacking the ability to empathize with someone thrown into the public eye so aggressively is just sad. As if most people would handle it well.
Wanting or expecting anything from someone getting their 15 minutes is ridiculous. It just happens. If he was some camera shy, bad interview who stumbled over himself people would be giving him shit for that. Not going to hold it against someone who handles it differently than I imagine I would.
I am sure if you were suddenly thrust into hours and hours of interviews with zero media training you wouldn’t say anything stupid or regrettable. As if it is shocking some teaching pro has delusional self confidence who came in 15th at a major championship out of nowhere against the best players in the world.

He doesn’t have to be there. He could just go back to work like every other club pro in the field does. He clearly doesn’t need the money since he netted almost 300k for a weeks work last year. Hes doing this because he wants to, he wasn’t thrown in front of a camera by anyone but himself. He just like every other influencer in the world

I always find this kind of critique of Brandel to be a non sequitur. Brandel is not holding up his own game as an example that people should follow. He is pointing out that the “legend” of certain teachers is better than the actual results.

He’s literally discrediting Mac O’Grady and all the teachers who learn from him because Mac didn’t “have good results” though? (It’s well known he was an absolute head case on the course)
Dahlquist also works with Jake Knapp, has worked with Adam Scott and a bunch of others. He comes from the O Grady coaching tree. Doesn’t really match up with what Chamblee is saying.

The Blockie hate feels similar to the animosity a lot of people have towards some of the better mid-ams like Hagestad who have jobs and lifestyles that allow them the time to play a lot of golf. It all stems from jealousy. If you think the media coverage is overblown and bit corny then I’m with ya there but I’m not going to get mad at the dude for taking advantage of the opportunities that come his way even if it means he’s not teaching for a year (which isn’t as absurd as some of you might think)
