That didnât have anything to do with the course itself. That was because there was nobody there. If that place was packed it would have been electric.
Iâm 100% in favor of a major having juice, even if it means the course architecture isnât great. But, itâs not like it has to be one or the other and the ones that can do both are the best.

The course being extremely uninteresting on TV had nothing to do with the number of fans imo. It could have been packed and the course would have still sucked.

Honestly, I think if the course hadnât been so hyped on the front end leading into the tournament it would have been a solid week and a fun watch.

Everyoneâs got different preferences. I thought the course itself was great and interesting (minus how far right guys could bail off of the 18th tee).
As a viewer, the small crowds led to it feeling flat, imo.

I know this isnât a popular opinion but I think the guis are way too hard on Blockie, as are many fans and other media members. The dude did something historic and has cashed in on his extended 15 minutes of fame. As if anyone in the same position wouldnât have tried to secure their financial future as well. He is a showman and plays a character that can be slightly annoying but my god, theyâre so hard on him when it isnât his fault the story got so popular, it was his amazing play last year and in my mind, the bit crossed over from fun to just mean.
