Rick. You and I both know you let the wrong element in and it’s just a jolly gathering of nimrods.
Still I’m sure some of our waitlisted brothers and sisters would be a joy to tee up with.
@jhkaplan still hasn’t accepted his reserved spot?!?
One of the missing was me – now on the list. I forgot I no longer have access to the e-mail address I signed up for the Nest with and missed my confirmation. Just glad I checked before it was rescinded. Walked the course during the US Am last year, and drive past it just about every single day on my way to work so I’m pumped to finally play it. See you all there!
Let’s use ChatGPT to find the best of these wait-listers
Add me to #1 pleaseeeeeeeee
I’m here!
Jumped on some cheap flights so, as of now, I’m coming in Saturday and leaving Tuesday. Maybe enough time for an afternoon round Saturday and definitely time for a round on Tuesday.
As always when visiting the homeland, the question is whether to hit up one of the old stomping grounds, or try to seek out something new. I hear Walnut Creek is good?
In for Cherry hills if possible. Also I can’t make promises but I have one avenue to explore to get on ballyneal… will keep you posted
Yeah, it’s really good. A bit of a drive from CGC, though.
True. Not even that close to the airport. Maybe I can hit it Tuesday on before leaving.
Unless a Cherry Hills or Castle Pines invite is forthcoming, of course.
Realistic plan for me is a road dog trip to Wild Horse. Also currently on the wait list for Landmand. Sprinkle in a commonwealth round Friday if I can get a tee time.
Im in western Kansas. Ballyneal adds a little time but not a whole lot. Of considered exploring the connection
Reminds me of when I was playing with two randoms at Cabot Cliffs. One guy said he been in Colorado recently, told him I’m from there, he asked where I like to play. Told him CommonGround etc, would love to play Ballyneal but I’ve never met anyone in person who has played it. Just goes “oh we played there while in town. Very similar to Ohoopee Match Club”. It was then I realized I was not in the same class as these guys.
Sounds like I could make a buck or two snagging up tee times and adding a surcharge to refuge members to play. Oh yeah CG totally costs $110 per round, no doubt no doubt.
I can probably help a few people book rounds even if I am still on the WL, and above was clearly a joke. I am a bit a planner/stickler and love helping people with these things. More than welcome to take this burden off others when the time comes.
In case it helps, for anyone who has access to a simulator with GS Pro and wants to practice on the course / play with the altitude adjustments, CGC is called “Parker Golf Club.” It’s a good rendition and the yardages are reasonably accurate (my home course is immediately next door to CGC and the distances match pretty well when I’ve played the simulated version).
Uhh if I can get people on cherry hills can I get a spot at the festival…? is that how this works?
Don’t know about that. But a nice dinner could probably be worked out
I will send a letter on your behalf to the powers at be if you get us on
I can get us on to the par 3 course at Cherry Hills and by get us on I mean sneak on which I totally have never done
