I’ll jump in for Sunday as well. Either course works for me.
Yes please.
i am playing at Common Ground on Tuesday morning
Fossil Trace fee is $160, so $84 more to play Arrowhead. Any locals care to comment on the merits of Arrowhead…is it worth the money??
AM?
I’ve been told in the past that Arrowhead is great for the views, not for the golf.
If you want amazing red rock views, there are plenty of hikes you go on for free.
yes sir. 9:40am.
I was originally coming in on Sunday but changed it to Satruday afternoon. I won’t be able to golf on Sat. but would love to meet up for dinner and drinks with anyone who is around. Living the BonVoy life at the SpringHill suites too.
This is correct. Nice views but course is just okay. Better courses like Bear Dance to play for similar/less money.
We’re playing Arrowhead Sunday as the sun rises… We’ll enjoy it all either way!
We getting rowdy in the SpringHill Suites?
If you’re looking for extra golf:
Scenic and premium:
- Bear Dance
- Fossil Trace
- Every other mountain course
- Arrowhead
Looking for a solid course above all else:
- CommonGround
- Riverdale Dunes (It’s a drive though)
- Murphy Creek
- Walnut Creek (also a drive)
I’m looking to book a Tuesday round as we get closer to the date. Think of Walnut Creek, which I see many locals are quite fond of, or maybe get crazy and drive up to TPC Colorado which is open to the public early in the week.
Any locals with knowledge of the patio situation at Common Ground? Good place to hang after an afternoon round?
It’s a very small bar in the clubhouse with a few patio tables/chairs outside. Serviceable, but nothing fancy.
To do it right, mosey on over to Lowry Beer Garden 2 miles away.
Looks Great!
Any history on your part with the 20 Mile Tap House? Seems a comfortable distance for the Springhill Gang.
Never been there. I’m not very familiar with the Parker area. It’s a major haul from my part of the metro area.
Seems walkable’ish though. Which is always a plus in Denver.
Arrowhead is a very average and plain golf course and would not exist as a golf course without the red rocks. Relatively flat, boring greens and mostly boring layout. Unless you are a huge scenery golfer, go somewhere else.
Solid dive bar. Good food, lots of beers on tap. Amazing people watching as it can draw a nice biker bar crew at times.
