Commiserations to whoever it was that had to drop out but it has opened up a spot for yours truly and I have humbly accepted. See you all in August!

Construction is ongoing. Not sure what the schedule is for opening day, but the building (at least the frame) is up. As a former resident of California who thinks In-N-Out is without question the most overrated burger chain in the country, I am not looking forward to the traffic jam the first few weeks will create in my commute.

Lucky for you duels are dead.

Ha, I just don’t get it man. The burgers are fine, the fries are The Worst, and it’s always slow.

I see what’s going on here.

I think I have my ATM card issue figured out this year so hopefully I don’t have to get a cash advance from you again

Yes. Fries are bad. Real bad.

Are you looking for extra golf on this trip? Don’t want to travel far? Still want a small taste of the private life?

I am offering 6 spots at Black Bear Golf Club in Parker the Tuesday morning (8/27) after the event, preferably to people coming from out of state first. DM me if interested.

As for food options in Parker:

The #1 place I would suggest - Poulette Bakeshop
Fantastic bakery and one of the few places in Parker I recommend if you have any amount of time to stop in. Staff is fantastic, and if you let them know it’s your first time they usually throw in some freebies.

Solid options
Hilltop Tap - Good sports bar, walls covered in TV’s, and never too full to grab a table for 4.
20 Mile Tap - Parker’s dive bar
West Main Tap & Grill - Solid food
La Loma - Very good, higher end Mexican
La Casita or Casa Mariachi - Solid options for basic fare
Spice Kitchen - Best Indian I’ve had in town
Sierra - If you feel like balling out on some American this place is like some did a high end Chili’s correctly

Unfortunately there aren’t any breakfast spots that I would recommend around town. Some are fine, but I wouldn’t say are worth going out of your way for. Hurts Donuts is good if you like something akin to Voodoo turned down a notch.

In-N-Out being open in time may be dicey. They have gotten well into construction, but based on the 6 month timeline it may be close.

Avoid
Portafinos - I don’t know if everyone in Parker has brain worms, but this highly rated spot has been terrible every time we’ve been. Frozen veggies with watery pasta.

Parker is the classic residential suburb and probably one of the blandest towns in the metro area. Don’t expect a ton of culture or hip spots. You’ll need to head north to Denver and Aurora if you want places that don’t having refilling Diet Coke as their #1 priority for service.

Yep, they kicked us out as soon as we refused to pledge our loyalty to In-N-Out.

If i wasn’t headed out Tuesday morning I’d be all over this. I know nothing about the course but hot damn do i love those Colorado views.

Bagel stop is solid for breakfast. Good food, slow service.

Update: For those of you that signed up to play CommonGround under my block, you do not need to call ahead to pay. You can just pay when you get there.

If we want to take a caddie would you recommend calling ahead?

So just signing up on the sheet is enough?

A million percent, yes. Thats is right around the date they stop for the year so availability could be slim.

Correct. That sheet is shared with their staff.
