Man what a blast last weekend was. With 22 players hunting for the title, a NIT invite, and a spot on our R6 Regional team, @tx_southpaw lifted and separated himself from the competition, absolutely BLOWING away the field with a total of 45 points, 11 above his quota. Well deserved, and what a flex to do it in from the last group out. For those not following along, dude made 2 birdies and no bogies through I think 11 holes … stacking points like cords of wood. Don’t think he had a double all day, and the tournament was out of reach for anyone else by the time he was in the middle of the 16th fairway. Then he birdied 18 just to run salt in the wound.
With built in donations, and a series of donation challenges, we were able to donate $800 to the Austin Firefighters Relief and Outreach Fund, bringing our total donations to over $4,000 in 2023!
Brenham CC was a fantastic host as always, and we cannot wait to get back out here next summer for the third annual MTC.
