After a successful 2022 Roost season, we are pleased to announce that applications for new Roosts are now open. Below is a detailed outline of the Refuge Roost plan:
This outline is geared toward Nest members that want to be a Roost captain, but in the spirit of #transparency we are opening it up for everyone to review (more info to come in December on signing up for Roosts in your area): Roost Outline
This applies to the following situations:
Locations where there are not existing Roosts
Locations within existing Roosts that have the juice to start their own Roosts (if this applies to you, make sure you have informed your current Captain)
Existing Roosts do not need to reapply, this is only for new Roosts.
To apply for a new Roost fill out this application
Upon receipt, the application will be reviewed and a member of the team and will let you know if there are any questions and ultimately whether your application has been accepted.
Please reach out to @sundaybag or me if you have any questions.
If there is enough of an audience I’d volunteer to run the Oregon Roost if nobody steps forward.
Bonafides:
-Run two golf tournaments a year
-Run a beer league hockey team and plan our annual travel tournaments
-Ran a hockey tournament across two rinks here in PDX
-Good at excel
Well that sucks the fun out of. I want to see videos of exiting roosters moving their stuff to a new roosts in Mayflower trucks under the cover of darkness.
It takes like 8 hours to drive from top to bottom. Ridiculous that florida is one roost. At a minimum the panhandle needs to breakaway due to “cultural differences“
