2022 War at the Shores - November 13, 2022 POST218 "Do Whatever You Want"

Right!? We also have some scheduling questions. Looking at the 13th, 20th, 27th as possible dates at the moment. Could also push to December 3rd but run the risk of snow.

EDIT: I very much miss the old system of calling Tony the Super, and asking if we can use the course for the day lol

Do they know who you are?!?!

It also stinks that Kemper cleared out most of/all of the staff to bring in their own people.

I have intel on the pro, the pro shop attendant, and the super…but they’ve been tricky to get a hold of.
The good news is that haven’t flat out said ā€œnoā€ to playing backwards. It seems like it’s been all about the timing/scheduling.

I also REALLY REALLY want our $$$$ to go directly to the golf course and not Kemper’s corporate account. What makes this event so cool is going back to see things like new sprinkler heads, or a Gator for the Super, or new Carpeting and Paint in the Pro Shop.

Even if we don’t get the course I think we should do a 21 Pinnacle salute directed at that glass house in memoriam of all the soldiers that have died in previous Wars.

Just curious…would you still play in this event if we had to play ā€œforward onlyā€ ?

I’ll run over to Boone and check the native areas in front of the par 3 tee boxes, should be able to find 21 Pinnacles in a couple minutes.

Since Kemper runs the show now, can the charity aspect of this not be the course?

I would also be down for playing another independent community course in cold weather if Kemper keeps messing around.

Totally agree with this! Would love to support a family owned or municipal course that could use a cash infusion. The course/routing isn’t the most important thing to me.

I would even toss in the idea of helping with a course project in the morning and getting our golf comped in the afternoon as a possible bargining chip.

(I just need an excuse to break out a chainsaw and cut down some trees)

Seriously. Does this look like a guy that wants to allow a group of internet degens play their course backwards?

He barely looks like a guy who wants a group of internet degens on his course.

Are we sure this isn’t the guy building the LITERAL Glass House off of 4?

Got two first names, can’t trust him.

Big Ben Blake is more of a chateau gui, likely would build right on 6/7 with views of the Baha’i Temple.

Not even sure if those holes are 6 & 7 since I’ve never really played a normal round at CS.

Reason #5280 why this stupid golf message board is the best.

That and the ā€œ21 Pinnacle Saluteā€

I think Big Run is still family owned and the routing is at least as weird as CS backwards…

Just for reference…anyone have one in mind?

I so badly want to schedule a ā€œUS Openā€ event there next year.

Tip it out. Put pins in tough spots. Get the absolute shit kicked out of me.
