Man these two episodes are some of my absolute favorite that NLU has done. Sure the subject matter was right up my alley but hearing DJ and CVK talk about Pete and getting Neils reactions in real time to some of the stories just tickled me.

Super happy to have nailed a couple of these. I almost said Long Cove instead of Old Marsh too.

I’m so sad that none of the crew figured out Pete Dye is Paul Simon and Jack Nicklaus (the architect) is Art Garfunkel.

Interesting connection at the end when @MerchCzar mentions King Collins as possible new “break the mold” architects as they’re designing Kohler’s new 14-hole course, Purebred Farm. A perfect connection to Pete Dye.

PDGC slaps. Not my favorite course of all time but an all time golf experience. Played it three times in 2 days. We were the first group to ever walk it :joy: I would love to go back on a buddies trip instead of chaperoning students.

Neil, not sure if you realize it, but you were on to something with the “Gasparilla” comment, just NOT the Gasparilla Invitational. Pete and Alice designed the course that is south of Tampa in Boca Grande at the Gasparilla Inn, fabulous course on peninsula of land that is right on the bay, a gem!

I cackled at DJ talking about being moved to tears by a late night karaoke duet and CVK simply said ₛᵢ𝒸ₖ under his breath. They’re both such music perverts and It’s fun to listen to.

What a mammoth task and, my god, it was worth it. Really brought the menace that was Pete Dye to life (shoutout Alice too, equal menace, maybe more).

Thank you @djpie and @cvk. Will throw a new light when watching too.
