Soly, DJ, Neil and TC are back to draft the best PGA Championships of all-time before we bring on three friends of the pod, and subject matter experts, to decide who had the best draft.
I know TC doesn’t know how to log onto here anymore, but I played former PGA Championship host Miami Valley GC last month and they have had one of the best logo glowups I’ve seen by going back to their original logo.
Former:

Current:

Also, thanks to the concentration of Dayton courses playing host to the PGA, I’ve ended up playing 4 former PGA hosts. It’s now a silly goal of mine to try and max that number out.
This pod made me wonder if we should just finally swap out the PGA for the Players and be done with it. What a long history for not a lot of thrill.
The drafts are great! In the future ask the judges to reveal their rankings worst to first please.
And I would like a podcast on Greg Norman’s near misses majors and otherwise. “Damn You Robert Gamez!”.
Screaming at my radio for 2009!
Tiger nervous!
Have you made the 4 hour run down to the Ross course at French Lick yet?
Not yet. That’s on the list.
The list being:
Firestone
Bethpage Black
Kiawah
Whistling Straits
Pebble Beach
TPC Harding Park
Pinehurst no 2
PGA National
French Lick Resort
Tanglewood Park (Clemmons NC)
Keller Golf course (Maplewood MN)
Seaview Resort (NJ)
Shawnee Inn (PA )
PGA Frisco (I guess)
Columbus Country Club/Inverness/Canterbury if anyone is generous with an invite.
Really surprised no one picked the Beem or Yang wins. Crazy.
Great pod but makes it more apparent than ever that the PGA needs to change. Go back to Matchplay and differentiate yourself from the US Open and regular tour events.
I am surprised, could be wrong, but the YE Yang win wasn’t brought up by anyone on the pod till Rich Beem brought it up. Maybe you dont pick it, but still shocked it never came up.
