Amazing pod with Stadler. Random memory it unlocked for me from a Thursday at The Players—had to be around ‘01 or ‘02, toward the tail end of his career.
He was in the right moguls on 14 and hit one that (to my eye) looked pretty solid—front right portion of the green. Someone in the crowd goes, “nice shot,” and without missing a beat the Walrus fires back:
“It might be a good shot on Sunday, but it SUCKS TODAY.”

Craig Stadler is probably a great guy. That being said, he does not belong anywhere near a podcast.
