As it was last year this was a very stupid ranking for multiple reasons but primarily because nobody has a clear idea on what they are actually trying to rank. It oscillates between valuing future major winning potential, valuing past major performance, NOT valuing past major performance, ranking guys who have never even played in majors while penalizing guys who have played in majors but not terribly well. Claiming Tyrell Hatton is a great major player, etc.
Just make a list of the best golfers on the planet and then filter out the ones who have won a major.
Not who will be good, not who might win one in 10 years, not who has randomly flashed in the fucking fall series. Who is the best golfer.
Maybe next year.
